Why it matters
Most companies your size don't have an HR department. Someone in the office keeps track of tickets, vacation and paperwork in spreadsheets and their inbox, on top of their real job. Rosie puts it all in one place and does the chasing for them.
Onboarding packets, TD1s, vacation tracking and payroll change lists stop being retyped and chased.
40 hrs
a month, for example, for a 75-person company. Your number depends on how you work today.
Tickets, licences and certifications get reminders before they expire, to the worker and their supervisor. No more finding out on site.
Time off, raises, allowances and write-ups go straight to the right person, who can approve from a phone. Requests that sit get a reminder.
Features
From the first job post to the last pay cheque, every step follows the same fair process, and every record lands in one place.
Post a job, move candidates through your pipeline, and get an AI read on each resume against the role. Interview scorecards, response templates and candidate notice dates are built in.
Offer letters and agreements from your templates, signed on any phone. Raises and title changes add a new version to the contract history automatically.
Expiry dates for tickets, licences and certifications, with reminders before they lapse and renewals uploaded from a phone.
Requests, balances and a team calendar. The right supervisor approves, and payroll sees it.
Progressive discipline with a full history. The termination form covers rehire eligibility, reason and ROE code, then starts offboarding.
TD1 forms, direct deposit, policies and site details on a checklist the new hire finishes from their phone.
Report an accident or near miss from site. The WorkSafeBC reporting clock shows on the report.
Review reminders go out on time. Raises go to upper management, with the Owner added above your threshold.
Boots, tools, vehicle and phone allowances, approved once and listed for payroll.
One record per person, from applicant to exit, and an org chart that stays current.
Reminders for birthdays and work anniversaries, so nobody's milestone gets missed.
Custom workflows with emails, texts, tasks and webhooks. Custom forms with share links. Summary reports emailed on a schedule.
Equipment requests, site sign-ins, anything you use paper for today.
Owner, manager, HR, department head and employee. Each person sees only what their role allows.
Take a look
Your pipeline, an AI resume review and an interview scorecard on one screen.
Offers go out from your template, get signed on a phone, and every step is on the timeline.
Every request waiting on you, from every part of the app, with the approval chain shown.
Plain answers for your province, with the statute cited.
New
Your HR system should change when your company does. Ask Rosie in the app, the way you'd ask the person down the hall, and it's done. An admin confirms, and the change is on record.
Things owners ask Rosie for
No support tickets and no waiting on a consultant. If you're not sure what to ask for, describe the problem and Rosie suggests the change.
Dana, Owner
Can you add a Refrigeration department under Sam Patel?
Rosie
Done. Refrigeration is live with Sam Patel as department head. Want me to copy HVAC's onboarding checklist to it?
Change made, confirmed by Dana
Dana, Owner
Yes please. And send ticket reminders 45 days out instead of 30.
Rosie
Checklist copied. Ticket reminders now go out 45 days before a ticket expires, to the worker and their supervisor.
Change made, confirmed by Dana
White label
Your staff open an app with your logo and your colours, on your own web address. It feels like your company has its act together, because it does.
Same screen, two sample companies. Company names are invented.
Approvals
Approval chains are set up to match how your company already works, and you can change them any time. Terminations go to HR, then the Owner.
Step 1
Jordan, Equipment Operator
Asks for vacation, an allowance, or reports an incident from a phone.
Step 2
Ray, General Superintendent
Approves time off, write-ups, incidents and onboarding sign-off.
Step 3
Upper management
Approves raises, allowances and offers.
Step 4
Above your threshold
Steps in only when a raise or offer is over the limit you set.
Rules, not memory
Chains and thresholds live in Settings. Change who approves what without calling anyone.
Approve from anywhere
Supervisors approve from site on a phone. Requests that sit get a reminder.
A record of every decision
Who asked, who approved and when, kept on the person's file.
How much notice do I owe if I let someone go in BC after 4 years?
RosieBC
Under the BC Employment Standards Act, after 3 years of continuous employment the minimum is 3 weeks' written notice, plus 1 week for each additional year, up to 8 weeks. After 4 years that is 4 weeks' notice, pay in lieu, or a mix of both.
Employment Standards Act, RSBC 1996, c. 113, s. 63
Common law notice can be longer than the statute minimum. For a termination, talk to an HR advisor or a lawyer first.
General information, not legal advice.

FAQ
Something else on your mind? Email hello@rosterrosie.com.
No. Each pay period you get one clean file of hires, rate changes, allowances and terminations, mapped to the import your payroll already uses, for example QuickBooks Online Payroll. If you'd rather not run payroll at all, our managed payroll add-on does it for you.
Both give you the same app. The subscription is a flat monthly price by team size, from $249 a month, with 10 months paid for 12 on annual prepay. Rosie for Life is one payment of $14,900 for unlimited people, with the months you paid during the trial credited, plus the Care Plan at $299 a month for hosting, security, backups, law updates and Rosie. It suits growing teams of 50 or more who would rather own it than rent it.
Ask Rosie in the app, the way you'd ask someone down the hall: add a department or site, a job title, a form field or a checklist step, change who approves what, move a reminder date or reword an email. Rosie makes the change, an admin confirms it, and it's on record.
You pay the regular monthly rate for your team size and use the app with your real crew. If it isn't right, cancel any time in those 3 months and take your data with you. The setup fee covers the work we do to get you live.
No. Rosie gives general information in plain language, for your province, and names the statute section it relies on. For terminations and anything unusual, talk to an HR advisor (our advisor desk is an add-on) or an employment lawyer.
By active employees. Seasonal staff on layoff don't count. You move up a band only if active staff stay above it for two months in a row, and we tell you before the new rate starts. If you shrink, the band comes down at renewal.
Your data is hosted in Canada with daily backups. Each person sees only what their role allows: employees see their own records, department heads see their department, and owners and HR see everyone.
Roster Rosie is built for Canadian employers and set up for the province or provinces where your people work, including TD1 forms, ROE codes and Employment Standards rules. Tell us where your crews are and we'll confirm coverage on the demo call.
No. Staff can sign in from a text link on their own phone. Offers, TD1s, ticket uploads, time off and incident reports all work on a phone.
They start with a working system instead of a pile of folders: every agreement, write-up, ticket and approval already on file.
See Roster Rosie set up for a company like yours: a new hire, an approval and a payroll handoff, in 30 minutes.
